The DIGGS is a four-story adaptive-reuse development transforming a historic 1906 concrete and structural steel building into 132 upscale apartments in Downtown Sacramento. Spanning approximately 200,000 square feet, the project preserves the building’s industrial character while introducing modern residential living.
The ground floor stores a bar and restaurant, office spaces, lobby, and leasing office, including restoration of the original freight elevator. All-new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are provided throughout, along with renovation of the on-site parking lot across the 2.3-acre site. Residents enjoy a large amenity suite featuring a fitness center, gaming and podcast rooms, zen and massage spaces, an art studio workshop, pet wash station, and on-site mini storage.
