“It’s not happiness that brings us gratitude, it’s gratitude that brings us happiness.”
Kathryn joined Brown Construction in 1995, bringing with her a degree in Business Administration and Management, along with a background in legal affairs and real estate development. Originally hired as Controller, she quickly became an integral part of the company’s leadership team as the firm grew in size and complexity. Today, Kathryn serves as Chief People Officer of the corporation, overseeing human resources, technology, risk management, and legal matters—playing a key role in ensuring the company’s long-term stability and operational strength.
Throughout her tenure at Brown, Kathryn has helped guide the company through periods of change and expansion, always with a steady focus on compliance, accountability, and people-first leadership. Her deep understanding of business operations and her collaborative approach have made her a trusted voice across all levels of the organization.
Outside of her work at Brown, Kathryn is an active leader in the industry and community. She currently serves as Chairperson of the Benefits Trust for the Northern California Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors and as Vice Chair of the AGC Delta-Sierra Chapter. She and her husband also give back regularly through volunteer work with a variety of local organizations. For Kathryn, leadership is about service—supporting those around her, strengthening the industry, and helping others thrive.
