2300 Ellsworth is a modern off-campus private student housing community serving students near the University of California, Berkeley. Located in the heart of the city, this thoughtfully designed 74,000-SF development replaces three vacant structures while preserving and restoring their historic façades. Spanning seven stories, the community provides 283 beds across 69 units, offering its residents a comfortable, connected, and urban living experience.
The single building is composed of five levels of Type III construction over a two-level Type I podium. The ground floor features a welcoming lobby with leasing offices, a mailroom, resident lounge, loft units with private outdoor patios, and a central courtyard. The project also delivers improved public infrastructure with new sidewalks along both Bancroft Way and Ellsworth Street, improving accessibility and enhancing the pedestrian experience.
